“CZECH DREAM” TO OPEN DFF 2014

DokuMA Film Festival is an international documentary film festival that will be held from May 29th to June 1st in Makarska, Croatia, EU.

The festival is organized by the civic association DokuMA from Makarska. The festival’s main partners are the City of Makarska, Makarska Hotels and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Zagreb. The festival is being held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia Ivo Josipović.

Each year the festival will host a different member of the European Union. This year we’re proud to welcome the Czech Republic as our partner nation.

The festival will feature a Competition Program of short international documentaries judged by a panel of directors consisting of Filip Remunda, Bruno Gamulin and Boris Mitić. DFFa will also showcase a tribute to Věra Chytilová and a Czech Retrospective selected by Aleš Suk.

Český sen’ (Czech Dream) (2004.) by Vít Klusák and Filip Remunda will open the festival on May 29th with a special screening on the Kačić square in Makarska.
