2nd Cinema-Less City in numbers

The 2nd Cinema-Less City program, organized by Dokuma CA from Makarska, closed with the screening of Oscar winning documentary “Citizenfour“.

CLC was held between February 14th and April 24th and it featured nine screenings of five documentaries (“Happily Ever After“, “Naked Island“, “Children of Transition“, “I Like that Super Most the Best” and “Citizenfour”) attended by 687 viewers, with an average of 137 viewer per film. The average capacity of our adapted cinemas (the fire station and Memory Caffe in Meteor Hotel in Makarska and the Town Hall in Tučepi) was 80 seats, and the average attendance of screenings was 76 viewers (95%).

“Children of Transition” by Matija Vukšić was seen by the most viewers (288) and he was also the only male director whose film was featured in CLC program, while the remaining four films were directed by female directors (Tatjana Božić, Tiha K. Gudac, Eva Kraljević and Laura Poitras). CLC featured three Croatian films, one Dutch-Croatian co-production and one American-German-British co-production.
