Cinema-Less City 2016 consisted of 20 films screened in 6 slots from March 26th to April 23rd at the Fire Station in Makarska, Croatia. The capacity of the venue was 60 seats, with the average attendance of 54 or 90%. The tickets were free and all screened films were produced in Croatia. Special guests of the program were producers Marija Ratković Vidaković and Tamara Babun and director Mladen Burić.
The goals of Cinema-Less City program are the development of the audience for documentary films and the promotion of cinematic art in an urban area that lacks a functional movie theatre and film distribution.
The program was organized by Dokuma CA with the support of the City of Makarska, Croatian Film Association, Croatian National Archive and Factum Documentary Film Project. Media sponsors were Dalmatinski portal, portal Megamedia and Radio Makarska Rivijera.
